The Shimano Stella 5000SW is packed with power to bring in those big desirable species. Whether it is Spanish Mackerel, Tunaor the elusive Marlin, this reel can handle all. The Shimano engineers manage to create a reel, which provides the very best in operational smoothness but also be durable enough to last and make it worth your money.
Getting technical here, this model has 14 anti-rust bearings, gear ratio of 6.2:1 and a line capacity of 240 yards of 10 pound fishingline. The Paladin gear durability enhancement is also included as with the Propulsion line management system, AreoWrap II, Cold Forged Aluminium Spool, SW Water Resistant body, SW Waterproof Drag, Aluminium side plate, frame and rotor. As you can see these features are all actual enhancements to the basic reel.
Shimano has engineered this reel to produce drag pressure of excess of 29 pound. With this low-down torque you will have no problem pulling in some of these enormous gamefish. While the reel is packed with features it is still impeccably smooth and has a very fluid operation.
